After his return to Taiwan, Chen decided to be a freelance service design practitioner. Since 2013, Chen has dedicated himself to the application of service design in multiple social aspects. His practical experience includes corporate identity, alternative education, internal entrepreneurship, regional revitalization, and community empowerment. He is experienced in developing social business models for cultural activities, curating and representing independent artists, and improving wicked problems that pertain to social issues.
Chen’s interest centers on stakeholders alignment, gamification, and relationship co-creation. Through being actively involved in various territories in practice, Chen is capable of training special project teams, integrating social resources, testing out theories and proposals while practicing its efficacy and sustainability. Since 2015, Chen has turned his focus to developing the design disciplines of participatory service design workshops and has published his insights on Medium.
